Sri Siddharth Infratech & Services has firmed up plans to set up 1,800 MW (six x 300 MW) Panari Standalone Pumped Storage Project in Panna and Satna districts of Madhya Pradesh.
The components of this scheme are upper reservoir, surface powerhouse, intake structure, penstock/pressure shaft, tail race outlet, tail race channel and lower reservoir. The project will spread over 1,014 ha of land involving reserved forest land.
In February 2020, Sri Siddharth Infratech & Services applied to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) for terms of reference (ToR) for preparation of EIA report for the project.
work on the project is expected to commence by October 2020.
The project is envisaged to be complete within a period of three years at an estimated cost of Rs 8,472.01 crore. It will generate employment for 250 persons during operation.
